Monday, Rebecca and I attended an Ikebana Show at Nihonbashi Takashimaya, which is a major department store here in Tokyo.  My, was it interesting.  Sure puts my poor fledgling attempts to shame.   But also very inspirational to see where the art of ikebana can go.

月曜日レベカと草月の生け花展示に行きました。 すばらしくて、とても面白いでした。 霊感だった。

New Years Eve, 2006 Illumination in Ginza. This light display has been going on every evening in December and then off at 9pm.  On NYE, it goes on again precisely at Midnight until 3am.

They rope off the streets and you can only walk in one direction, so a huge crowd formed on one end and came towards us.  Reminds me of the crowd at Sensouji Temple in Asakusa NYD.
